Eugerta Muçi, lawyer, has studied Bachelor, 2016-2019 in the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana, where she graduated summa cum laude valedictorian. Her Bachelor Thesis was on “The Right to Privacy as an Instrument to Protect The Right to Privacy”. In 2019-2021, she studied the Double Degree Master of Law Programme between the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium and the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where only 10 students are accepted worldwide. Eugerta graduated summa cum laude, with the highest results of her generation, and earned two diplomas, one Belgian and one Swiss. She is specialized in Financial and Banking Law, European Law and Arbitration.
Ms. Muçi wrote her Master’s Thesis on RegTech, the methods of using technology to facilitate supervision and compliance with financial regulations, particularly in the banking sector (“A RegTech Era: Transforming Financial Regulation”). The Thesis was supervised by one of the most renowned experts of Financial Law in Europe, the US and worldwide, Prof. Dr. iur. Kern Alexander, who graded it maximally, 6/6.
Ms. Muçi has been a student member of the Practical Clinic in KU Leuven in 2019-2020, focusing on EU Institutional Law and international investment. She wrote a thesis titled “The Status of Intra-EU Bilateral Investment Treaties”. During her Bachelor studies she did a nine-month internship at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Albania, 2018-2019, in Tirana, and during November-December 2021, Ms. Muçi has provided consulting services to ICC Albania on the CAPI Project “The Week of Integrity in Albania 3rd Ed.”, in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy.
Eugerta Muçi has drafted applications to the European Court of Human Rights and is an excellent researcher, with a strong commitment and diligence.
Currently, Eugerta is a full-time PhD Candidate on Open Finance at Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam, in The Netherlands. Her research focuses on the banking sector and macroprudential policies related to Open Banking and Open Finance. She has also founded Muçi Law NL, a private consulting firm.
